A recent survey shows that many Norwegians took advantage of this year’s summer to go to the mountains for the first time.

Among them, most were men.

A new Ipsos survey, conducted on behalf of Norsk Friluftsliv, shows that many Norwegians tried their hand at new outdoor activities this summer.

Most Norwegians tried hiking in the mountains for the first time.

A total of 10% of men and 6% of women included in the survey reported going for their first walk in the mountains this summer.

“There is no doubt that the different summer this year has brought new groups outdoors.

It’s great to hear that 8% of Norwegians have taken the opportunity to make go on their first hike in the mountains,” Lasse Heimdal, the General Secretary of Norsk Friluftsliv, noted.

Overall, the figures show that more men tried new outdoor activities for the first time this summer.
