Two members of Odin soldiers, self-policing group, were arrested as they tried to patrol in Fredrikstad center on late Friday night.
– Just after 23:30 we received a call from the public about three people, two men and a woman, who went uniformed and appeared as a group, said operations manager Terje Marstad in Eastern Police District to NRK news.
The three went on Storgata, but when the police approached them and asked them to take off their uniforms no, it was just the woman did as she was told. The men were therefore asked to leave the center, which they did. Thus ended the in custody, but released after a few hours.
A while ago the group had approached the police and Fredriksstad newspaper where they claimed their right to act as a group and patrol in the city center.
– They act uniformed and as a vigilante. According to the Police Act, the police have the exclusive right to patrol, said Marstad.
