A customer in a Meny store in Arendal deliberately coughed on an employee in the store on Monday. Now the store manager promises a reward for tips that could help identify the man.

The episode took place on Meny Krøgenes on Monday night.

The male customer, probably in his 50s, did not appreciate that the employee used a face mask at the self-service checkouts, according to newspaper Agderposten.

“You must be aware that you will be infected if I cough on you, even if you use a face mask,” the customer said to the employee, according to store manager Flemming Kristiansen at Meny Krøgenes.

Reported to the police

Then the customer allegedly coughed against the male store employee.

“Where is your head at when you do something like that?” Kristiansen asks.

The video surveillance in the store has been reviewed, and the store manager has promised a reward on social media for anyone who can come up with tips that can lead to the customer being found.

The case has been reported to the police.
