The meteorologists have issued a yellow danger warning for forest fires for large parts of Southern Norway.

The forecast applies to Southern and Eastern Norway, and Western Norway south of Stad.

At Yr, the Meteorological Institute warns of a local forest fire danger until significant precipitation occurs. Therefore, it is recommended to be careful with open flames, as vegetation can easily catch fire and large areas can be affected.

A yellow danger warning means that there is a moderate risk of forest fires.
