Mild January so far

Temperatures have been above normal across the country in the first half of January.

“At our measuring stations in all counties, the temperature has been above the January normal for the first half of the month. Only in Svalbard does it vary between 2 degrees above and 2 degrees below normal,” Yr tweeted.

It has been the warmest in Møre og Romsdal, where the scale approached 20 degrees after New Year.

On January 2nd, a full 19 degrees were measured at Sunndalsøra, which was a new January record in this country.
