As of Thursday, a total of 5,016,620 corona vaccinations were registered in Norway, according to figures from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI).

The first dose was administered in Norway at the end of December last year. In recent months, corona vaccination has accelerated, and now Norway has passed 5 million administered doses.

So far, Viken has the largest proportion of people vaccinated with the first dose. It is followed by Oslo.

The FHI stated on Tuesday that it is in the process of phasing out the geographically skewed distribution of vaccines. In the latest vaccination calendar, it is estimated that everyone over the age of 18 will be offered the first dose by mid-August and the second dose by the last half of October.

Recently, the development of infection in Norway has been stably low, but the delta variant has created concern about increased infection again.
