Ministers from 25 countries, and WTO Secretary-General, have been meeting in Oslo for talks on international trade.

Foreign Minister Børge Brende hosted informal talks Friday and Saturday on trade and preparation of WTO’s next ministerial conference in Argentina in 2017.

– We have had constructive discussions on a wide range of issues related to the work of the WTO and further trade negotiations in the short and medium term.

I hope and believe that the Oslo meeting has given new inspiration for further negotiations and that we have laid a good basis for concrete negotiating results, said Brende in a statement.
