Despite the increased terrorist threat at the airport in Kabul, Norway has not stopped attempts to evacuate people from the city.

The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) on Thursday.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a warning to Norwegian citizens in Kabul. They were asked to stay away from the airport due to an increased terrorist threat level.

At the same time, several countries stated that they have now stopped their evacuation operations.

That applies to the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Denmark. The French evacuation will end no later than Friday, and the German presence at the airport in Kabul will probably end on the same day, according to the news agency DPA.
