A 90-year-old woman who was missing in Modum was found dead on Friday afternoon.
On Thursday night, twenty patrols from the Red Cross, eleven rescue dogs, and two ATVs contributed to the search for the woman who disappeared from her home this week.
“The lady that the police were looking for has been found. She’s dead. Relatives have been notified. She was found by Norske Redningshunder rescue dogs who were searching for her.
“She was found about 500 meters from a road. We do not know more about the circumstances surrounding the death,” the Southeast Police District wrote on Twitter.
The last known contact with the woman was on Tuesday, but she was not reported missing until Thursday morning. The search started shortly after.
