Lemuren Lichi, who escaped from The Little Zoo in Aust-Agder one month ago, was found safe on Tuesday.

“We are quite ecstatic, and it is almost with tears in our eyes that we now bring Lichi back to the zoo after over a month out in the wild,” says general manager Terje Jensen at The Small Zoo at NRK.

May 1, five lemurs escaped from the zoo in Gryting. After several exploration actions in the following days, four of the five Lemurs were back at the zoo, except the last one, a lemur named Lichi, remained missing.

This weekend, the 17-year-old lemur was observed on the main road at Gryting, not far from the zoo. On Tuesday afternoon, some young girls watched the lemur and contacted the zoo, which was quickly in place with grapes and a cage.
