The three missing after the land slide in Sørum on Thursday afternoon all come from the same small village in Lithuania.
27 years old Paulius Kuliecius, Arturas Miskinis (37) and Darius Sciukas (47) all came from Pagiriai, a village of a few hundred inhabitants in Kedainiai district.
The entire local community is now strongly influenced by the accident in Norway, says NRK news.
The Lithuanian embassy in Oslo has been in contact with the three survivors.
– We have offered them assistance if there would be a desire for it, but so far they have rejected this, said a spokesman for the Lithuanian foreign minister in Vilnius, Kestutis Vaškelevicius.
About 37,000 Lithuanian immigrants were living in Norway at the beginning of 2016, according to Statistics Norway (SSB).
