Twelve new corona-infected people have been registered in Oslo in the last 24 hours. The number of daily cases hasn’t been as low since September 6.

Infection rates in the capital have been low recently. In the last three days, 18, 19, and 12 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, respectively.

Last week, 292 new infection cases were registered in Oslo, Oslo Municipality informed news bureau NTB – a solid decrease compared to the week before when the number was 596.

The Oslo City Council will take the low infection rates into account when it considers the further reopening of Oslo this week. Oslo is in stage two of the Municipality’s reopening plan, and the current corona measures apply until June 18.

After an outbreak among russ participants last week, Oslo postponed the further reopening by one week. Since then, the infection has dropped again, and now the City Council is considering providing extra relief.
