A total of 580 newly graduated police students got jobs last year. Thus, 82% of last year’s cohorts at the Police Academy have been given a job in the police.

That is the highest figure in the last six years and comes as a result of the government’s commitment to the police, the Ministry of Justice and Emergency Management stated.

“We now see that the police has good results. The population survey shows that people’s trust in the police is increasing,” Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Monica Mæland (H) noted.

“400 new positions in the police means that a record number of students have found work the same year as they finish at the Police Academy.

“That means more police forces in the districts where you live,” Mæland said.
