More than 100,000 Norwegians have received the first dose of the corona vaccine

A total of 100,343 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, according to the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) statistics. Furthermore, 16,042 Norwegians received the second dose.

Compared to Thursday, the number of Norwegians who received the first dose rose by 8,961. Additionally, 5,388 new people were vaccinated with the second dose.

Most people have received the first dose in Viken (21,005) and Oslo (14,229). 

The fewest doses were administered in Troms and Finnmark (4,533) and Møre og Romsdal (4,939). Most people have been given the second dose in the counties of Viken (3,704) and Oslo (2,078).

The first corona vaccine in Norway – the one produced by Pfizer and BioNTech – was administered on December 27. The first dose of the Moderna vaccine was administered on January 15.
