The number of air passengers continues to increase. A total of 3,384,000 passengers traveled to or from Avinor airports in October.

The number is more than a doubling from the same month in 2020, but at the same time a decrease of 32$ compared to 2019, Avinor wrote in a press release on Wednesday.

“We see a sharp increase when it comes to travelers abroad, which is clearly related to the fact that the global travel advice was abolished on October 1,” director of traffic development at Avinor, Gaute Skallerud Riise, stated.

In total, the number of passengers increased by 22% from September to October. The number of foreign passengers increased by 493% from October 2020.

Compared with 2019, just over 17% fewer people flew domestically in October. The difference in foreign travel, on the other hand, is far greater. Less than half as many people flew abroad in October 2021 compared to October 2019.
