Figures that P4 has collected from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration show that 36,329 crossings were registered at the border at Svinesundsbrua last week.

That is 4,048 more than the week before.

After the Norwegian government allowed travel to Sweden without quarantine duty for the fully vaccinated, there has been a lot of traffic on the border. Some days, the waiting time in queues lasted up to six hours.

According to the radio channel, the traffic increase at Svinesund is 12.5% from the week before the regulations were relaxed – and 20.5% from the week before that.
