A total of 42% of the women surveyed state that they have had involuntary sex one or more times, an August survey showed.

The survey was conducted by Norstat on behalf of Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), and the results were published in August.

The sample consisted of 500 women and men aged 20–29 from all over Norway.

Out of those who stated that they had sex without wanting to, 37% answered that it happened while they were asleep or drunk.

The same number answered that they said “no,” but that they were not heard.

33% answered that it was easier to let it happen than to say “no.”

Also, 15% of surveyed men stated that they had unwanted sex one or more times.
