More than 60 million vaccines administered in the UK

The UK has reached a milestone with over 60 million doses of corona vaccines administered.

British Minister of Health Matt Hancock announced the information on Twitter on Sunday.

“A fantastic milestone in our fight against the virus,” he tweeted.

Figures from the national health service (NHS) show that 60,587,098 vaccine doses had been administered in the UK as of Saturday.

A total of 22,643,417 people received two doses and are thus fully vaccinated, according to British media. The United Kingdom has about 66.6 million inhabitants.
