Norwegian reported 940,149 passengers in March. That is 300,000 more than in February, the company’s quarterly figures show.

Compared to the same month in 2021, when the pandemic and restrictions affected the industry, the increase amounted to 870,000 passengers.

The airline presented its quarterly figures on Wednesday morning.

“We are particularly pleased that the filling rate remains above 80%, despite the fact that we put in place significantly more capacity in March. The booking figures show a very good development in the last period, and we are pleased to see that the upward trend in the market continues,” CEO of Norwegian, Geir Karlsen, stated.

The company had an average of 48 aircraft in operation. By the summer, Norwegian plans to have about 70 aircraft in operation, the company noted.
