Multiple water leaks reported in the Bergen region
On Monday morning, there were several water leaks in Western Norway and in the Bergen region.
“On Askøy, water flowed through three floors, that is what we know so far. A shopping center was affected,” Helge Lund at 110 Vest told newspaper Bergens Tidende.
He said that the fire brigade had been out a lot on Monday night.
“It is the infamous “from minus to plus.” Water has frozen during the cold period, and pipes burst. Then the ice thaws to water again, and then the water goes out through the cracks,” Lund told the newspaper.
The leak at the shopping center in Askøy has been stopped.
On Sunday, water leaks were also reported in Oslo.
