The national corona measures are being extended until April 14, Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

“We will have to continue the national measures until April 14. This is because we now need to get more knowledge and data about how the infection has developed through Easter,” Høie told the channel.

Just before Easter, an alcohol serving ban was introduced, as well as limits on the number of visits and a new two-meter distance rule at the national level.

“We know that it will provoke reactions in the places where there have hardly been any cases of infection, but we must do this.

“We see that the British virus variant appears in places where there has hardly been infection before,” the Minister of Health noted.
