NAV is ending a number of corona measures on Friday
From Friday, applications for unemployment benefits will be processed according to the usual rules from before the pandemic. The NAV is set to discontinue multiple corona measures.
On October 1, the reimbursement scheme for sickness benefits for employers for days 4–16 will also be discontinued when the sickness absence is due to COVID-19, the NAV stated on Wednesday.
The scheme now only applies to sick leave that starts before Friday.
Some measures are being extended until October 31, including the right to sickness benefits due to or on suspicion of COVID-19.
Some measures will last throughout the year.
