The fire brigade in Bergen had to cut down a Nazi flag that had been hung up close to a motorway on Saturday. It has been 82 years since Nazi Germany attacked Norway.

“They had hung up the flag so that it would be difficult to remove. We had to use a knife,” Bjørn Johannesen in the Bergen fire service told the newspaper Bergens Tidende.

The Nazi flag was discovered next to the motorway bridge into the Fløyfjell tunnel. An officer at the nearby fire station discovered the flag Saturday morning.

The police in Bergen stated that they would investigate the case.
