A total of 3,392 Norwegians have been vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine, but the demand for the vaccine is now declining.
In July, half as many doses have been administered as in June, according to figures P4 received from the National Institute of Public Health (FHI).
“These are figures that indicate that there was a small need there, but which now seems to have been covered,” Frode Forland in the FHI noted.
The Janssen vaccine was taken out of the government’s vaccination program due to rare cases of severe blood clots. However, people who met very special requirements are allowed to receive the vaccine.
The figures from the FHI also include everyone who has received the Janssen vaccine in other countries but then post-registered the vaccination in the Norwegian system after returning home.
