On Wednesday, 598 corona-infected patients were hospitalized in Norway, the highest number so far during the pandemic. Among them, 46 are in intensive care.
The number of admitted corona patients increased by 26 patients from Tuesday.
Corona patients made up 6.5% of the total of 9,234 patients admitted to hospitals in Norway on Wednesday. Those in intensive care make up 19.8% of all the country’s intensive care patients.
According to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview on Wednesday, among the corona patients in intensive care, 19 are on respirators.
The Norwegian Directorate of Health’s figures do not show whether corona patients have been admitted as a result of coronavirus.
Since February 2020, 1,257,079 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Norway.
