A recent poll shows a virtual tie between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump day before the two presidential candidates will meet in their first TV debate.
The poll was done for the Washington Post and ABC News and published Sunday.
The poll says 46 percent of respondents said that they are likely to vote for Democrat Clinton, while 44 percent endorse Republican Trump. Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party gets 5 percent support, while Jill Stein of the Green gets 1 percent.
Among registered voters both Clinton and Trump get 41 percent support.
The 90-minute debate will take place at Hofstra University on Long Island in New York on Monday. It is the first of three debates between the two before the presidential election on November 8th.
