Neptune Energy and their partners are doubling gas production from the Duva field in the North Sea in collaboration with the Norwegian authorities.

“The increased production is enough to heat an additional 350,000 British homes per day,” CEO of Neptune Energy Norway, Odin Estensen, stated.

Duva’s total production is currently 30,000 barrels of oil equivalents per day, of which 6,500 are natural gas.

The new measures will double the daily gas production to 13,000 barrels of oil equivalents per day from the first part of April – and during the next four to eight months.

The Duva subsea installation is connected to the Gjøa platform. The gas is transported by pipeline to the St. Fergus gas terminal in the United Kingdom.
