Nettavisen: Police officers fired shots at Bislett in Oslo – one person has been shot

The Oslo police confirm that they have fired shots at Bislett in Oslo. According to the newspaper Nettavisen, a man was shot by the police.

“The police confirm that there has been a confrontation between the police and at least one other person. Shots have been fired. The situation is currently not clarified. There are a lot of police forces in the area,” they wrote on Twitter at 9:17 AM.

One of Nettavisen’s journalists states that he witnessed the incident. The journalist described a dramatic sequence of events when the police tried to get control of a man with a knife in his hand who was running after a woman.

According to Nettavisen, the man was shot by the police.

From the site pictures, a large police force and several ambulances are present at the location.
