New daily record: 1,194 corona cases registered in Oslo

A total of 1,194 corona cases have been registered in Oslo in the last 24 hours, 258 more than the day before and 323 more than the same day last week.

The number amounts to a new daily infection record – the previous peak was registered on December 9, when 1,150 infected people were registered.

Infection rates are highest in the Søndre Nordstrand district, with 2,907 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. 

The lowest infection pressure has been registered in Nordre Aker, with 1,338 people infected per 100,000 inhabitants. 

In the last two weeks, 13,556 people have been registered as infected with corona in Oslo.
