New ECDC infection map: Viken turns “dark red,” North Jutland turns “green”

Several areas have changed their color on the EU’s infection map this week. The northernmost part of Denmark changed from “yellow” to “green.” In Norway, Viken changed from “red” to “dark red.”

The whole of Portugal changed from “red” to “yellow.”

At the same time, several areas in Spain changed from “red” to “yellow.” Several areas in the north, west, and south of France also changed from “red” to “yellow.” 

Areas that have been “red” in central Italy turned “yellow,” including Sardinia. Several areas in western Greece changed from “dark red” to “red.”

Latvia changed from “yellow” to “red,” while Iceland changed from “red” to “yellow.” Romania, which has been partly “green” and partly “yellow,” turned completely “red.”

In Norway, Viken changed from “red” to “dark red,” while Vestland changed from “red” to “yellow.”

The National Institute of Public Health (FHI) will update its infection map on Friday. Based on the update, the government will make a decision on changes to the corona restrictions on the same day. The changes will take effect from Monday.
