A total of 218 new corona infection cases have been registered in Trondheim in the last 24 hours – a new daily record in the Municipality.

Out of the total, 138 of the infected are under 20 years of age. Furthermore, 46 of these are under ten years old, Trondheim Municipality stated in a press release.

A total of 516 PCR tests were performed in Trondheim Municipality on Tuesday, and the Municipality issued a recommendation on the use of face masks in public places where it is not possible to keep at least one meter of distance from others.

“This is particularly important for buses or other public transport where you sit or stand close to people for a while,” municipal chief medical officer Tove Røsstad said.
