Majority want Jonas Gahr Støre as prime minister, according to a new poll.
In the newspaper VG a new poll shows that the Labour leader is favored by people in Central Norway, Eastern and Southern Norway. Nationally 38 percent prefer that Støre is Norway’s next prime minister.

Only in Western Norway is Prime Minister Erna Solberg most popular. Nationally 33 percent of respondents said that they still want her to lead the country.

– There are many who are sitting on the fence. I will manage to convince them, and it should be fine, says Solberg.

Jonas Gahr Støre says it is encouraging with these figures showing good opportunities for political change, and it opens the door to anyone who wants the change to happen.

– It will be hard work until the election. We are prepared, says Labor leader.
