New record: 509 corona patients hospitalized in Norway – 67 more than on Friday
On Monday, 509 corona-infected patients were admitted to Norwegian hospitals, 67 more than on Friday. More people are receiving intensive care, and the number of patients on respirators is increasing significantly.
Of the 509 inpatients, 68 are admitted to intensive care, and 29 people are on respirators, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
Vaccination figures
A total of 2,863,063 people have been vaccinated with the third dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, FHI’s statistics show on Monday.
Furthermore, 4,327,195 people have received the first dose, and 4,016,165 have received the second dose.
53.1% of the population over the age of 18 have thus received the third dose, while 80.3 and 74.5%of the population have received the first and second dos, respectively.
For the population over the age of 18, the proportions are 93.6 and 91% for the first and second dose, respectively.
Currently, the third dose is not administered to adolescents under 18 years of age in Norway. Among people aged 16-17, 89% have received the first dose, and 78.4% have received the second dose. At the age of 12-15 years, the proportions are 80.5 and 9%, respectively.
