Several storms have hit Norway in recent weeks, and a new one is expected on Sunday. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute warns that a full-blown storm will hit the area between Stad and Nordkapp.

“The most wind is expected on Sunday night,” the meteorologists warned on Twitter.

The wind will blow from the southwest, and a lot of rain is also expected, increasing the risk of avalanches.

Storms have hit Central and Northern Norway several times in recent weeks. First, there was the extreme weather event “Gyda,” which hit most of the Norwegian coast on January 11 and 12.

A second storm hit mainly Central Norway last Sunday, and on Wednesday, several mountain passes were closed due to bad weather.
