A new survey from Opinion shows that opposition to wind power on land has increased significantly since April of 2019.

The survey, which was carried out in September on behalf of the Norwegian Tourist Association, shows that 42% of Norwegians are unfavorable to the development of wind power on land, while 35% are positive.

The corresponding figures in April of 2019 were 25 and 49%.

However, resistance is far weaker in Oslo.

There, only 27% are opposed to wind power development, compared with as much as 51% in Northern Norway.

As many as 78%, however, fully or partially agree that nature must be taken care of to a greater extent in future wind power development.
