A recent survey shows that half of those polled in Sweden believe the Sweden Democrats are a racist party.
In the survey, conducted by Novus on behalf of the newspaper Fokus, people were asked the question, “Do you consider the Sweden Democrats a racist party?”.
50% of the respondents answered: ‘yes,’ 40% answered ‘no,’ and 10% answered, “I do not know.”
According to the survey, there is a big difference between men’s and women’s views on the Sweden Democrats. 53% of the men surveyed believe the party isn’t racist, while only 27% of the women hold the same belief.
A total of 1,016 interviews were conducted on a representative sample.
The Sweden Democrats have not commented on the survey. NTB has not succeeded in getting a comment from the party.
