In a survey carried out among more than 30,000 Norwegians, only one in four answered that they think the corona pandemic would end within six months.

Almost half of the respondents, 47%, answered that the pandemic would last up to another year, and 17% answered that they think the pandemic would last for up to two more years.

Furthermore, 10% believe the pandemic will last even longer, the Norwegian Korona Monitor April survey by Opinion shows.

“Although a little more people believe that the pandemic will end within six months, three out of four Norwegians still believe that the pandemic will last even longer,” senior adviser Nora Clausen in Opinion noted.

Feeling lonely

A lot of people in the survey said that they feel lonely.

On a national basis, four out of ten people answered that they feel lonely due to the pandemic, but among younger people and those who live alone, as many as 57% stated that they feel lonely.

In Oslo, more than half of the respondents, 51%, answered that they feel lonely.
