The Norwegian Hospitality Association (NHO Reiseliv) is positive about the opportunities related to the Norwegian corona certificate, including the fact that conference hotels can now accommodate up to 1,000 people.

Participation in larger events with up to 1,000 people indoors without allocated seats is one of the benefits of the corona certificate.

Kristin Krohn Devold, CEO of NHO Reiseliv, is pleased:

“This is good news for larger conference hotels.”

But private events in public places are not included, according to Minister of Health Bent Høie (H).

“We expect that it will soon be allowed to have up to 50 people at private events in public places,” Devold noted.

She emphasized that June is an important month for such events and believes hotels and restaurants across the country are suffering losses due to the current limit of 20 people.
