One person has been admitted to St. Olav’s hospital after receiving the coronavirus vaccine from AstraZeneca in Trondheim.

Vaccine manager Helge Garåsen in Trondheim Municipality confirmed the hospitalization to newspaper Nidaros. He did not know any more details about the admission.

There are 2,600 people in Trondheim who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine, the Municipality stated – all of them are healthcare professionals.

Norway has put the vaccination with AstraZeneca vaccines on hold on Thursday, after reports from Denmark and other countries about possible side effects in the form of blood clots.

Three health workers were admitted to Rikshospitalet on Saturday due to complications related to blood clots that allegedly occurred after they received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
