Nine have died in traffic accidents in January
2020 started with nine fatalities in road accidents in January. This is two more compared to the same month last year.
Among those killed were two pedestrians and seven drivers. Eight were boys or men while one woman lost her life.
Trygg Traffic said that it was in 2016 that had the worst start to the year.
“Especially tragic is that we have lost a small child and several young people. Our thoughts go to all those who are left with endless pain and sorrow because they have lost the their loved ones,” said Jan Johansen, director of Trygg Trafikk.
