Nine year old found a loaded weapon and fired
Two girls at the age of nine found a loaded gun in a hedge in a residential area of Stavanger on Saturday afternoon. The girls thought it was a toy and fired a shot into the ground.
No one was injured in the incident. The weapon, which is rough caliber, is taken care of by the police. Nine year olds are given the necessary follow-up.
– It’s just luck that no one was seriously injured, said operations manager Tor Helge Hallstavik at South Western Police District to newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad.
