From Wednesday 12 August, anyone who suspects that they are infected with the Corona virus can have the opportunity to be tested without a doctor’s assessment.
– It is important that everyone who now believes that they may be infected or have cold-like symptoms, use the opportunity to get tested. Corona testing is free and you get the answer after one to two days by logging onto Helsenorge.no, says assistant health director Espen Rostrup Nakstad in a press release from the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
The Directorate states that with the new guidelines that will be introduced on Wednesday 12 August, everyone who suspects that they are infected should be given the opportunity to get tested.
According to the new guidelines, the health service will recommend testing for anyone with a recent respiratory infection or other symptoms of Covid-19, as well as anyone who may have been infected with the virus, either though close contact or after traveling in a country with a high incidence over the last ten days.
