Almost 8,000 people were tested in connection with the Oslo Pride and Bislett Games. No one tested positive for corona, health director Bjørn Guldvog told newspaper VG.

Around 5,000 samples were taken at Oslo Pride and around 2,800 at Bislett Games.

People who had not been infected with the coronavirus or had not been vaccinated could quickly test themselves to get into the events. This was the first time such large events were carried out since the pandemic started in Norway in 2020.

The fact that no infection was detected, Guldvog believes, also reflects the fact that there is relatively little infection in the Oslo area.

No infection has been discovered afterward that can be traced back to the two events, Oslo Municipality confirmed.

“We expect that the green corona pass and testing at events will be used for some time to come, until we reach good immunity in the population. It is difficult to say exactly how long (it will last),” the health director said.
