Large parts of Norwegian business are being affected by the coronavirus epidemic in Norway, and Nav has received over 100,000 applications for temporary layoffs. In the Armed Forces, all personnel is needed

. “In situations like now, where the Armed Forces perform its regular tasks in addition to providing support to civilian society, layoffs are not an issue. We need all the personnel we have available,” says Human Resources Director Tom Simonsen to the Defense Forum.

However, companies that provide services to the Armed Forces have temporarily laid-off employees and sent notice of layoffs. Among them is ISS Facility Services, which is responsible for the cleaning of many of the Armed Forces’ buildings.
