Nordic Choice Hotels has notified the National Security Authority that the hotel chain’s IT systems were affected by a computer virus on the night of December 2.
“The virus primarily affects our systems for booking, check-in, check-out, and payment solutions. We have established manual systems for use in the hotels so that guests are taken care of, but everyone must expect a slightly longer waiting time than normal,” a press release states.
A total of 200 hotels in five countries have been affected, according to digi.no, which first mentioned the attack.
“We are fully focused on solving the problems as quickly as possible with all the tools we have. The National Security Authority has been notified of what has happened,” the company added.
The hotel group Nordic Choice Hotels is owned by Petter Stordalen.
