After discovering illegal substances in the spice, Notura is withdrawing the product “organic meatballs” sold at their member store at Rudshøgda on Thursday and Friday.

In the last two days, a total of 23 consumer packs of a total of 57.5 kilos have been sold in Nortura’s member store with the toxic substance ethylene oxide.

Ethylene oxide is a carcinogen, and its use in food production in Norway and the EU is banned.

Nortura is now asking consumers who have purchased the product to throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
