Nortura is recalling some batches of bacon called “Skikkelig digg bacon” after finding salmonella.

The product has been sold at Coop, Norgesgruppen, and Nortura’s member store at Rudshøgda, Nortura wrote in a press release.

“We have been informed by Prima Jæren that salmonella has been found in two batches of imported German pork which they have delivered to us. We are, therefore, recalling all bacon that may contain raw materials from these batches,” Nortura noted.

The recall applies to the product with expiration dates March 29, 2021, March 30, 2021, April 1, 2021, and April 2, 2021.

All the products that this applies to have now been removed from the stores. People who have purchased the product are asked to throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.

The finding is not linked to the finding of salmonella in German beef, which was reported earlier in March.
