People who come to Norway to work on film or series production and who have received a grant commitment from the Norwegian Film Institute are now released from entry quarantine.

The Norwegian government wants to ease the quarantine rules for the film industry to facilitate the planning of filming for the autumn, a press release noted.

Film and series productions must continue to comply with current entry restrictions, and everyone must meet the criteria for exceptions.

This means that they must present a valid corona certificate or show that they are traveling from a “green” country.

Exceptions are also granted for those who have received an entry permit from the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and foreigners who carry out work necessary to maintain activity in Norwegian companies.

In addition, a grant commitment from the Norwegian Film Institute from the film incentive scheme is required, and further requirements are set for infection control throughout the production.
