The government convened a press conference on Monday on further contributions in the fight against extremist group IS.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg , the Foreign Minister Brende and Defence Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide were all attending the press conference, held at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday afternoon.
Last week VG wrote that Norway will send both training soldiers and a medical team of six or seven people to northern Iraq to support the fight against the extremist Islamist group.
The defense minister has previously said to the news agency NTB that she will not exclude that the effort could be escalated further.
