Danish authorities state that the country’s embassy staff in Kabul have been moved to the city’s airport. Denmark shares embassy buildings with Norway.

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the Danish embassy employees were moved to the airport in Kabul on Sunday night.

Denmark and Norway share an embassy complex in Kabul, and Norway has also announced the evacuation of employees and the closure of the embassy.

Kabul International Airport is considered one of the city’s safest areas, as it has a large US base there. It is also where the Norwegian field hospital with 40 personnel is stationed.
